Although the appetizers calamari had chunks of salt on it, the other appetizers were tasty baked clams, eggplant, artichoke. Worth coming just for the customer service alone! An Italian home away from home, probably because it was one of the places my dad always wanted to go for a special dinner when I was growing up. It just melts in your mouth! La Grotta is my new favorite restaurant in Atlanta! Food - the bread was fresh, hot and soft like I like it and it was accompanied by butter, olive oil and an eggplant spread so awesome. There is a small sign at the entrance to the valet circle. The service was amazing - they even brought champagne out at the end of my dinner I loved the ambiance, we sat outside and it was more of an intimate feel because it was kind of packed inside and we wanted to be able to hear each other speak! On a bright note, our server was nice. He tried to help us pronounce the words on the menu correctly while narrating the menu.

Aside from those stuffed mushrooms, the food was very good. I came here for a farewell party expecting the food to be average. I felt guilty after having a bite. Both of my appetizers were great and my husband really enjoyed his choices as well. The gnocchi itself was soft but the sauce flavor just doesn't go with gnocchi for me.

The entire restaurant is beautiful and elegant. I believe we got a drink that was champagne based and one that was gin with grapefruit and both were delicious. This restaurant is small but very cozy. Me and my husband had the eggplant rollatini which was delicious. We also had the option to add freshly shaved truffles to our entrees.

My family and friends especially raved about their Penna A La Vodka, Chicken Park and the White fish dish. At the age of 15, recognizing his natural gift and passion for fine cuisine, he attended Impass Culinary School and then launched his career working at Italian resorts. I also really liked this place because we're always so bad at picking food that'll be enough for two so we end up over ordering - with a place like this being somewhat expensive and us being on that college budget you can't always do that! I tried a bite of my friend's order, and it was delicious! All in all, I came home and went straight to bed happily full and content. Dessert came and no check so we asked again. Overall, a great dinner in a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food. I can't exactly rave- hence the four stars- but I can tell you that the service is on point, the graciousness abounds, and they are generally accommodating about adjust dishes to suit your dietary needs and wants. We also had their paninis and their Italian cold cuts the name is too long haha.

Thanks to Christian and his staff for many for memorable meals! Lastly for our Entrees I had the Chicken Sorrentino and my husband had Veal Parmagiana. The hostess and waiters are so friendly, personable, and attentive. I can't believe it has been a few days since my wedding reception. The atmosphere at La Grotta is unique. Need a break from Wenner history? We were a party of five, so I won't go into minute detail about everyone's dinner choices, but we were all in the mood to share, so I can comment on a few dishes I sampled. I really like the food here. We were told the restaurant was formerly a cafeteria and has been open since 1978.

This is one of the better restaurants on McClean Ave. Right when you take the elevator to the basement, it's like you were never even in the apartment complex at all. I was taken here for my birthday and all I can say is wow. Moving onto food - y'all. If all this Weener tea is getting you hot, cool down at , which dishes out heavenly scoops of homemade ice cream.

Dessert: tiramisu and creme brûlée, both were amazing. Everything that we ordered was right on but my favorites were the pasta sampler and the veal chop. Attractions Outside Weener Germany Close to Weener are a few larger cities and tourist destinations that are worth a visit, such as Leer, Emden and of course the island of Borkum. La Grotta is a fine dining Italian Restaurant in Buckhead Atlanta. Ravioli Di Soinaci, delicious and fragrant and filling! I had the veal scaloppine. Their dinners are and will always be on our bucket list. I actually asked for a spoon as to not waste any of the sauce. When our salads arrived, I was very relieved. Our desert was a creme brûlée.
